Mike's New York visit was a lot of fun for him and his family. Short and sweet, as he was only there for four nights. The joint birthday party was very special, and we got a picture of four generations of Schoeneman men together.
Austin returned home on July 2nd, a few days after Mike. He had just enough time to say some goodbyes, take another class at UMAC and get a dragon tattoo on one side of his abdomen, from an artist who also attended UMAC. I'll track down a photo to post, it's a beautiful tattoo.
Meanwhile, I had been searching online for a training facility in Thailand. We were aware, with the increase in popularity of Muay Thai, there were bound to be some "touristy" operations flourishing. There wasn't a lot of searching before I happened upon a site for "Pra Si Pra Muay Thai Academy". http://www.pspmuaythai.com/ Operated on a military base in Korat, it appeared to be as authentic as one could get. We intended to make this all happen as quickly as possible--we weren't looking forward to Austin spending too much time back in the "Santa Cruz mode". He was of the same mindset.
